Suggestions have put the optimum ground capacity at 16-17 x (number of fans) if your team is performing well.
The arena should be built using the following percentages for the 4 seating types:

It generally costs £150k to add an extra 5000 seats to your arena.

There are several different sources of income in Battrick :

Gate Receipts
Any income due from matches played during the week.
Seating type & income amounts – there are four types of viewing areas that you can have at the ground (ticket prices adjacent):
o Standing Room 5.00
o Uncovered Seats 7.50
o Covered Seats 10.00
o Members Seats 25.00

Match Income Distribution
In a league match, the home team will receive 100% of the attendance gate amount.
In a Cup game, the home team receives 66% of the amount, the away team getting 33%.
In a Friendly the receipts are split evenly 50% each.

Sponsors
This amount will depend on how good your relations with your sponsors are, your position within the league, and how high your league is.
Your sponsors will pay you also relating to the number of fans that your club has.
Keep the Sponsors happy, and the money will keep coming in. PR officers are the voice of your club – they improve the mood of your Sponsors, simply so that they give you more money.

Interest
If you had money in the bank at the last financial update, then they will pay you interest on it.
You can increase this interest with Financial Advisors.

Miscellaneous
Simply contains everything else that you can gain money from such as player trading (less 5% sales tax), prize money and fan membership payments from fans.

The bank will give you an overdraft facility up to £350,000.
If you exceed that level at the time of your countries weekly financial update then the Bank will give you 5 logins to get back below the threshold. If you fail, then you will be declared bankrupt and lose your team!

Although there is the large overdraft facility available, you can only use the first £150,000 to buy players with.
Once below that level, you will not be allowed to buy players.
When determining your balance for this purpose, the bank will be looking not only at the state your balance will be in come the next finance update – they will also take into account any players that you currently have bids on and/or players that you are selling and have received offers for.

Aggression for Captains

The aggressiveness of the captain has no effect on the fielding of the team or individual players.

What Does The Captain Do On Matchday?

He determines how much the team obeys your orders.
As the first class game comes along, the captain will start to take a lot more responsibility for who bowls and when. This will also take more of an effect when you see the conditional orders becoming available.

What skills does a Captain require?

Experience and Leadership.

Captains will definitely have much more of a role to play in FC matches.

During the IRC Q&A on 17 Oct 2006, Allan stated:
“How much of an input does a captain have on the team? A small effect – you will see it become more in the FC games.”

During the IRC Q&A on 30 Jun 2006, Allan stated:
“When selecting a captain, will his Aggression affect the decisions he will make in the match (ie. will an aggressive captain set more aggressive fields etc than a defensive captain?)? No – his aggression only has an impact on his personal performance.”

OD Format

You must select 5 bowlers for a one day match. Each bowler will bowl 10 overs. The player you select as bowler 1 (b1) will bowl first, b2 will bowl second, b3 will come on first change and so on.

During the IRC Q&A on 28 Jan 2007, Allan stated:
“Is there actually anything in the game engine that simulates the new ball, and therefore making it more advantageous to open with a seamer as opposed to a spinner? Yes – although I’m not convinced that it is working as well as I would like.”

FC Format

For the FC format, you must select at least 4 bowlers to bowl throughout the match. You need to set the maximum overs each bowler can bowl in any one spell – between 3 and 25. You also need to set the minimum overs each bowler can bowl – between 3 and the maximum you set. You also need to set the Maximum RR that each bowler is allowed to go for – before tha captain changes the bowler – this overrides the minimum spell setting.

BT20 Format

In the BT20 format, you do not get an option of how your bowlers bowl.

Coupled with the batsmans natural aggression level, you can temper a batsmans attacking tendancies.  For example, a player who has a Destructive nature, can be “toned down” by setting his batting orders to Defensive or Very Defensive.  If you were to set his orders to Very Attacking, you may experience him scoring at a quicker rate, but having a tendancy to get out quicker.

In a match, you will receive a Reporters Summary.  The contribution to each area : Top Order, Middle Order & Lower Order in the batting section is determined as such :-

* Top order
Batting positions 1, 2 and 3.
* Middle order
Batting positions 4, 5, 6 and 7.
* Bottom order
Batting positions 8, 9, 10 and 11.

So, if you play your stringest batsmen at positions 1,2 & 3 – you will find your Top Order receives the highest rankings

As there are only 10 training nets available each week it would be pointless to hire more than a total of 10 from the five types of coaches listed above.

Each coach hired opens up one net of that training type.
(eg. hire 3 bowling coaches to open up 3 bowling nets).

Once you have hired at least one specialist coach, you can start to allocate a player to each of these coaches for the week within the nets area. Each coach will add one more available coaching session.

There are some limitations though. Due to the limited time and space available, you can only have 10 coaching sessions each week. If you have more specialist coaches than that, then you are simply paying them to sit around each week. Even if you do allocate a player to them, he will never get the chance to train as the net space will never be available.

Secondly, although each player can be allocated to more than one specialist coach, the effectiveness of the sessions will reduce with every duplication.
(eg. if you allocate Smith to two batting sessions, he will get the full benefit from the first session, but due to the amount of work he has already done in that session, the amount he can possibly gain from the second session is much less (about 65% of normal amount). If he was allocated to a third batting session, he would receive again even less training. A fourth training session would only provide negligible benefit.

However, if Smith was told to also go to a bowling session as well as the batting ones, he would still get the full benefit from the first bowling session. Again, any subsequent bowling sessions would also see a reduction in training received.
